Anthony
(Kiazami) Davidson II (born July 3,
1982, in Brooklyn, New York) is the drummer for American rock band
Pumpkin City. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York; Montego Bay, Jamaica
and moved to Conyers, Georgia. He met fellow band
members Matthew “Rude Boi” Wilcox and Chris “Chilson” Wilson at
Rockdale High School. Kiazami began playing the
drums in 1996. When he saw a drum set at his church, he sat down
and started banging away. A love for
drumming was instantly ignited.
Prior to
joining the band he was drummer for Product 1440, Luna Inkenda (with
band member Brett (Faygo B) Reagan) and a number of other project bands.
Kiazami is
sponsored by Precision Drum Company and Saluda cymbals.
When Pumpkin
City’s original drummer Kace (singer/drummer for Jimi Ray’s Lunchbox)
decided to leave the band to sing for Jimi Ray’s Lunchbox (a decision
fully supported by the band); the band decided to ask Kiazami to come
on board.
Shortly after joining
PC, they released a 6-song demo named “Transcendental State”. In
spring 2009, was the release of their self-produced “Elephant” EP, with
help from Joe VB (Bass for Jimi Ray’s Lunchbox). In late October 2009,
They recorded “Sweet Island Skunk”.
