Hi Guys,
I'm going to bite the bullet and get my first taste of Saluda cymbals. My question is which version of the 17ins should i get bearing in mind that:
1. I need the cymbal to last (should rule out the thin version) 2. I want it to decay pretty quickly (so i guess that rules out the Power crash)
Any help on this is greatly appreciated

Actually thinner cymbals last longer than heavier cymbals because thinner cymbals are more flexible as for the second try a fast crash.

One thing I would say I've only cracked a handful of cymbals and the easiest are a customs which are thin part of this may have been due to the way I played and took care of my gear. Too thick of a cymbal is not good either doesn't flex as much so it will crack. I would say medium thin, fast crash will have super quick decay. The size has alot to do with it as well 17 should be okay larger diameter has more cymbal the sound has to travel through
