The above are examples
of our XG series released in 2000. This began as a nightmarish
cymbal series as the cymbals came out too thin to be used for their
primary purpose. This ended up being a short lived series. The
purpose was to release a nonhammered series, along with our hammered
GH series. The resources were too slim at that time so we
discontinued the XG series to put more emphasis in our GH series.
The GH3 series cymbals
were easy to spot since they had black, pad-pressed logos on
opposite sides of each other. The GH3 alloy has a number of
improvements as we learned more about detailed lathing and
hammering.
The GH4 series and the
SH1 series were the same type cymbal/alloy. There are no differences
except the SH1 were released in a different batch in 2001.
Engravings under the bell distinguished between the two models. All
GH4/SH1 models had a mixture of black pad-pressed logos with blue
ink stamps nearer the bell. This was also the first time we started
using weight and type indicators on our cymbals. The SH1 series also
had the first stamped image for series classification.
